How Naruto receives the power
Six Paths Sage Mode is associated with the power Naruto receives from Hagoromo late in the Naruto manga. The official Naruto retrospective places their meeting in volume 70, chapter 671, and Naruto’s return with that power in chapter 673. This guide contains spoilers for that final conflict.
Hagoromo’s gift supplies the story context for the heightened form. It should not be confused with a new name for Naruto’s earlier Mount Myoboku training. For that broader background, see how ordinary Sage Mode works.
How the published form differs from toad Sage Mode
The late-manga form is visually distinct from Naruto’s earlier toad Sage Mode, including the loss of the orange pigmentation around the eyes. Those published features are more useful than insisting on one eye colour across every edition or reprint.
Naruto can use this form together with his Nine-Tails chakra mode. Seeing the effects together does not make them one interchangeable label: the chakra cloak and the Sage Mode are distinct aspects of what he is doing. A cloak alone is therefore an incomplete way to identify the form.
What the war shows, and what it does not
With Hagoromo’s power, Naruto demonstrates enhanced physical abilities, levitation and improved sensing. These are abilities shown in the story, rather than an explanation involving new organs or a measurable biological rewrite. They do not need a numerical power multiplier to be described usefully.
A specific example is Madara’s Limbo shadows. Naruto can sense them, while Sasuke can see them with the Rinnegan. Keeping the distinction between sensing and seeing makes the feat clearer; it does not establish that Naruto sees everything across dimensions or has unlimited sensory range.
Truth-Seeking Balls appear with Six Paths powers in that late-manga conflict. This guide does not treat them as erasing every attack without exception, and it does not turn several chakra natures in the orbs into another name for the same technique. For the underlying distinction between energy and elemental properties, see chakra and nature transformations.
Keep the form, cloak and sealing mark separate
The official retrospective describes Naruto and Sasuke sealing Kaguya, citing volume 71, chapter 690. The sun-shaped seal on Naruto’s right palm is part of that sealing work with Sasuke’s corresponding mark. Afterward the palm marks return to Hagoromo.
Keep that sealing power separate from both Six Paths Sage Mode and the Nine-Tails chakra cloak. The three can be discussed in the same battle without being treated as interchangeable terms. The return of the palm mark describes what happens to that mark; it should not silently become a claim about every other power.
The limits of this explanation
The official finale recap corroborates Hagoromo’s gift and the sealing of Kaguya. This explanation is limited to that late-manga context. It does not resolve Naruto’s power status after later Boruto events, and those later questions require their own evidence.
